The main stage of Tomorrowland, the world's largest EDM festival in Belgium, has been destroyed in a fire. The event is scheduled to start on Friday, July 18, but the destruction of the main stage will bring significant changes to the event.

The festival announced at 8:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday that none of its employees were injured in the accident. It was also announced that DreamVille (camping area) will open on Thursday, July 17 as planned and is ready to receive all visitors.

In addition, all of the festival's Global Journey events in Brussels and Antwerp will take place as planned.

Tomorrowland organizers say they are now focusing on finding solutions for the festival weekend. They promise more information about the event as soon as possible.

The local fire department was called to the scene on Wednesday evening, July 16. The festival's main stage was already in flames at the time.

The three-day festival is scheduled to take place in the town of Boom, near Antwerp.
