Martin Garrix has been voted the best DJ in the world for the fifth time in DJ Mag's voting. At the same time, the fifth number one position means that Garrix has reached the same achievement as another Dutch DJ, Armin van Buuren.
At the same time, Garrix overtook French titan David Guetta, who had won three of the previous four years. Additionally, Garrix overtook Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, who have been in the top five of this DJ 100 poll for over a decade.
"Being on the same list with all my idols means a lot to me. I admire Armin, Tiësto and many others. It's very surreal to be on the same list with them," Garrix tells DJ Mag.
