Many Finnish EDM Artists to Amsterdam in October

A large number of Finnish artists and music industry professionals are traveling to the capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam, in October. There will also be performances by Finnish artists from the 16th to the 20th. at the October Amsterdam Dance Event.

Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is one of the world's largest gatherings of the music industry. Almost half a million electronic dance music (EDM) professionals and audience members from around the world arrive in Amsterdam for seminars, meetings, concerts and other events in the field.

ADE has been organized in Amsterdam since 1996 and hundreds of music industry professionals from Finland have participated in it. This year too, dozens of Finns are going to ADE, some of whom will even perform there in front of an international audience.

- Eight people from our Luxonia Family music collective are going to ADE. DeejaVu, one of our TOP 10 most listened-to EDM artists in Finland, even performs there twice at the events of his international record company, says Tomi Lindblom, Luxonia's artist manager.

Other Finns will also perform at ADE, such as Martin K4rma, one of the top names in techno music, who will take the Codex vs. Union concert stage together with other international performers on Thursday, October 17.

Numerous domestic event organizers are also traveling to Amsterdam in October to meet colleagues and seek new ideas.

- Finnish electronic dance music is of a very high standard and we have many world-renowned stars, such as Darude, Yotto and Tempo Giusto. It's been a pleasure to see that EDM events are held even more in Finland these days and their popularity is constantly on the rise, says Matias Aakko, who is leaving for ADE, who is involved in organizing the popular Danceteria, Electric Carneval and CNNCT events, among others.

- ADE is Europe's most significant gathering in the field of machine music, where it is possible to meet industry players from record companies to artists and their gig sellers, says Sami Vepsäläinen, CEO of Xtendedmusic Agency, who has visited ADE many times before.

The members of Winning Team, one of the driving forces of Finnish electronic dance music, have visited ADE for seven years.

- This is a significant event where artists and their background people get to network with other players in the field around the world, says Max Lapinsuo-Sylwén from the Winning Team.

In total, ADE in Amsterdam will be held from 16 to 20 October, more than a thousand events in almost 200 different places. The non-profit Amsterdam Dance Event Foundation is responsible for organizing the event.
