Luxonia Is Launching EDM Training for Those Interested in The Field

Luxonia, Finland’s largest electronic music collective, is launching an educational program for those interested in the field. Instruction is offered to both hobbyist electronic dance music producers and those looking to further hone their skills.

The program, known as Luxonia Lab, will launch in Helsinki in October, with plans to expand to other parts of Finland later on.

"Luxonia aims to boost the profile and popularity of electronic dance music and the industry itself. We have previously offered a popular 'Demo Service' where artists could seek advice on music production. Now, we are expanding this initiative to include training sessions led by our own experienced artists," says Tomi Lindblom, Luxonia’s Artist Manager.

The training is being conducted in collaboration with Start Corps Oy, a company specializing in educational services.

“Thanks to its extensive expertise and network, Luxonia is a natural partner for this type of educational work. We are responsible for the practical arrangements, while Luxonia handles the actual teaching,” says Joni Pulkkinen from Start Corps Oy.

The Luxonia collective comprises seventeen Finnish DJ/producers and three support staff members from across Finland. Luxonia artists have regularly performed at major industry festivals and other events. For a long time, Luxonia has also organized the "Helsinki Goes EDM" free events in central Helsinki twice a year; in addition to its own artists, these events have featured dozens of other electronic dance music DJ-producers. Luxonia is also part of the Rexon Music record label.

Furthermore, Luxonia curates the "New Suomi EDM" playlist on Spotify and maintains statistics on Finland’s most-listened-to EDM artists (the "EDM TOP 30") as well as Finnish musicians and music creators who have surpassed one million monthly listeners on Spotify.
