Free six-hour electronic music event in Helsinki with 12 artists in June!

Helsinki city centre will be hosting an unprecedented free electronic dance music event in June. The Helsinki Goes EDM evening, organised by the electronic music collective Luxonia, will be held as part of the Helsinki Day programme on Thursday 12 June in the Kaisaniemi Park area, and will feature a total of twelve artists over a six-hour period.

Helsinki Goes EDM presents a large group of producers from different styles of electronic dance music. The event will feature performances by Axity, Devinity, Eric Altair, KLASS, KUOKKA, Loose, Matrissel, Mike Ditchz, Ropsu, Thomas Will, Walter Alan and Whoknows. The evening of Helsinki Day will feature house music, big room and techno.

– The Helsinki Goes EDM event will feature many veterans but also a few artists who have performed less frequently. There will be many DJs/Producers who are among the most listened to electronic dance music artists in Finland. In addition, the majority of them have performed before or are currently performing at Weekend Festival in August, says Tomi Lindblom, who is responsible for Luxonia's artists.

Luxonia is a collective of EDM producers focused on electronic dance music, consisting of seventeen Finnish DJs/producers and three background staff from around Finland.– We are creating a relaxed park-like event from the Helsinki Goes EDM event, where it is easy to visit or spend hours, for example. The Kaisaniemi Park area is already familiar to us, as we have previously organized a similar EDM event there on Helsinki Day and the Night of the Arts, say Matias and Elmeri Taavitsainen, who are responsible for the technical and artistic implementations at Luxonia.
