David Guetta has now been crowned the world's number one DJ for the fifth time in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll. This historic win comes 14 years after his first win in 2011. Guetta has been dominant for three years, taking the number one title in 2020, 2021 and 2023.
Guetta is now only the third artist to have won the DJ Mag Top 100 number one spot five times, after Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren.
- I'm very honored. Number one still means a lot to me after all these years because the best feeling in my life is still making new music for people and seeing their reactions, Guetta senior told DJ Mag.
Guetta is still going strong after all these years, releasing a single every month throughout the year. 2025 has also been one of his most diverse periods ever. Guetta's latest releases include the trap and hip-hop-influenced track "Lucky" with MORTEN, collaborations with Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Hypaton, Nicky Romero, Hugel, MK and Fatboy Slim, as well as a new single with Sia and a remix for fictional K-pop group Huntr/x.
Charlotte de Witte was voted the best techno DJ of 2025 in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll.
The highest-ranking newcomer on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs list is Michael Bibi, who was voted 48th.
Armin van Buuren was voted the best trance DJ in the world and Sara Landry the best hard DJ.
Overall, Martin Garrix came in second place after Guetta, ALOK came in third, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike came in fourth and Armin van Buuren came in fifth.
